Resources to support and strengthen mothers, children and families.
what we do
The Growth Network is a PBO who strives to contribute to a society in which every parent or caregiver is able to raise resilient and well-balanced children. When parents are equipped with effective, healthy parenting skills, children
will be able to reach their full potential. Our primary goal when working with mothers and young children is to support and help them grow relationally, emotionally and spiritually.

MOPS SOUTH-AFRICA
Here at MOPS, we gather and support moms. We believe in the simple but revolutionary idea that remarkable things happen when moms come together, face to face.
That’s why we rally women to come together in their own neighborhoods and help each other through this thing called motherhood, one gathering at a time. Our acronym stands for “Mothers of Preschoolers” because it all began in the USA in 1973 when a group of moms of young children banded together to share their lives and parenting journeys. Over the past 45 years, MOPS has expanded to include moms with older kids, partnering with churches and organizations worldwide to equip and encourage moms in more than 65 countries.
MOPS South Africa connects families to your church with high-quality, simple women’s gatherings that welcome moms together to share life, motherhood and Jesus. Read More...
FIRST STEPS EVERGREEN PARENTING
The First Steps course material is based on the core content of the Evergreen Parenting Course by well-known parenting coach and author, Hettie Brittz and a team who have experience working in the following fields: formal education, social work, family therapy, farm worker training, adult literacy, rural upliftment work and more.
First Steps Evergreen Parenting was developed out of the need to empower and encourage parents with no or little educational background. It is a practical, interactive course to address the needs of multi-cultural communities irrespective of language or literacy levels. The material is fully adaptable to ensure relevance to the course attendees.
foster care
Family is the blueprint for a healthy society and the answer to our nation’s orphan crisis. Foster care is one way to provide safety and new opportunities to our many vulnerable children.
Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for the orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you. James 1:27
We believe in family where guests become relatives, where homes are opened and love and burdens are shared. This bigger, more beautiful picture of family is what we can offer the world – a family of families to vulnerable children.
To make this possible we partner with Kin Culture to make Foster Care less daunting for prospective and active foster parents.
KIN CULTURE
NAL'IBALI
Nal’ibali is built on the simple logic that a well-established culture of reading can be a real game-changer for education in South Africa. Children who regularly read and hear engaging stories, in languages they understand, are well equipped and motivated to learn to read and write, which leads to improved outcomes in all subjects.
Nal’ibali is working to build a larger community of people across the country who are interested in and passionate about storytelling, reading and writing with children.
